Purpose

You made me for a purpose
One I may not even see
You made me gentle, gracious
To shine forth all your glory.
You made me to love,
To search, to desire,
And to find you too.
You unconditionally loved me first
And that’s why I love you.

You gave me a gap
Which only you could fill.
You gave me what I chose
You gave me my will.
You let me chose my path
And I chose yours.
It is a path to freedom
With many open doors.

But sometimes I do stray
When not focused on you.
I stop for a moment
To focus anew.
You long to guide me
And to hold me close.
You yearn to save me
And to make me whole.

When I reach the bottom
I’m hopeless, in despair
Only then I listen
To who whispers there.
And once I’ve finally found you,
You wrap me in your arms.
You hold me tight and comfort me
With your gentle heart.

You love me like no other
You love me for forever.
And nothing I can ever do
Will make your strong love waver.
And now to see what you have done
To change my life around.
I see the hurt and sorrow, guilt
You took when I was found.

I see the world for everything
I see evils effect.
Why can we make a coherent choice
To stray from love pure and perfect.
I run to help but am thrown aside
I try to persevere.
I stare at death so coarse and black
And see that it belongs there.

They say that I am in the wrong
But I know how to fight.
I must be in but not of the world
I must be the salt and the light.
I cannot save to world alone
I need your help as a dove
Your grace, your mercy and greatest of all
Your steadfast love.

LOVE

Love.
love everyone
for love is everything.
love even when it hurts.
Love without judgment,
love as God loves us.
Be kind
For love develops in kindness.
Forgive
For love is not complete with out forgiveness.
Be patient
For love blossoms in patience.
Endure
For love endures and never ends.
With love comes light,
By light seeds are formed.
Seeds grow and grasp light
Creating new seeds
Growing with love
Producing 70 times 7.
But be careful of weeds that hate.
Surround new seeds with love
Fellowship, encouragement, accountability.
Love because God loves us
By giving Jesus for each of us
So we can produce eternal blossoms.
Love.

The Crack

People, I have discovered, are born with a crack. This crack is large and in fact is the heart. People have a tendency to want to fill this crack with things they believe to be comforting. Because of this condition, we have a desire to love and to be loved. Any way we can try to fill this, we do. Everyday I see people begging for attention, building up anger internally, and making fun of others. Just watch, it's everywhere! In this world, everyone has problems of their own and no matter how large or small they may seem to another, they still gnaw away at one's heart. Knowing that we are broken people, we want to pretend we are whole. This crack in our heart for Love, we fill with things that don't fit and then put on a front so we are not vulnerable to others. No matter what we attempt to fill this crack with, it doesn't fit and only brings momentary happiness but hurts even more in the long run. We inevitably have to find something else to put in its place. This is a crack in the shape of God, and thus God is the only "slipper that fits." We are the Cinderella for God. Once we realize this, we can live in His plan to help others mend their hearts as well. By genuinely noticing someone and having a short conversation with them, saying hello and their name, or just smiling in passing makes people light up inside. A spark is light and this can be the start to reaching their hearts. By showing people that someone out there in the world cares about them causes people to question what is different about that person and how they themselves can get that happiness, peace, freedom, love, and joy that only comes from Him/ God loves us so much that He gave His only Son to be mocked, whipped, brutally beaten, and crucified ALL FOR US so that we can live with Him forever. For all He has given us should we not love others enough to show them this love?

Trust

Recently I have been thinking a lot and relating things to each other. I have found that people naturally have different personalities but sometimes the ways people treat others is due to their reactions to problems at home, with friends, or they are desperately lost and don't know what to do but push people away. This can come across as shy, superficially pleasant, or jerky. People want to be loved and never disappointed, and when a struggle comes up people want to know an answer for these trials. They question, "If there is a God and he is good then why would He make me go through these things?" As humans and believers, this is a difficult question to answer because even as smart as we may think we are, our minds cannot even begin to comprehend God's full plan. I mean when I think about it, is a god that I can fully understand and capture in a box really worth worshiping? If I could know everything then why couldn't I worship myself and that be just as valid (and trust me if anyone worshiped me he or she would be bad off!)? If we trust God that He has a perfect plan for us, then we shouldn't question if He knows what is happening or why. Sometimes believing in something that can't be contained is scary like the fear of the unknown, but we just have to have faith. We put faith in friends everyday that they will be kind to us, keep our secrets, and help us in life, but people let others down every day. Some how we seem to get over it and put our faith in that person again and again and are still surprised and hurt when our trust is betrayed. To answer the Why question, I just know that God never leaves us nor forsakes us. The whole Psalm 107 is amazing talking about trouble but a specific great verse to go along with this is Psalm 107:28-30 "Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper, and the waves of the sea were hushed. They rejoiced when the waves grew calm. Then He guided them to the harbor they longed for."

My first blog...

So..I made a new year's resolution to make this blog and I will try to write in it once a week or when I feel led to. I would like to thank Colton and Neal for giving me this idea and for my huddle at winter recharge for encouraging me to start this up. God bless!
